This spring there's going to be this documentary about the B-Boy culture that you need to see. It is simply one of those movies that you cant stop watching...and one that I can't stop rewinding and slow-moing every 20 seconds. It really takes b-boying on a world level—but at the same time it keeps the essence of the culture right at the level it should be. Check out the trailers and stuff at planetbboy.com. Dammit B&C are a dirty pair. If Luke Skyywalker and 2Live Crew had the luxury of producing their stuff for the internet masses back the the 80s and 90s Bangers & Cash would have been just plain "retro". Alas, they are not. The pair fill the grey area between porn, erotica, sick-bastards and genius. I don't know if I can even say "Second verse, same as the first" because the same crowd of fans just got added to and (since there really were no other followers of the style) the Luke Skyywalker/2Live Crew era get the honorary designation of "OLD school dirty bass". Really, these guys did not take bass music to a different dancefloor—they took the entire dancefloor (inspiration, mood, life...basically everything that encompassed that era/genre of music) to a different building. I want them to win an award but MTV is too "family". Sooooo it looks like the AVN awards needs to open up a new category. Personally I see that a new industry for adult entertainment is coming soon—adult music videos. This video is really really NSFW.
